Specialized recycling means that the material may be 100% recyclable but NOT in your standard curbside bin. Specialized recyclables take a bit more effort and leg work from the consumer to find a landfill alternative that will truly recycle these items. It is important as a consumer to understand what will happen to the item and it’s packaging at end of life. Thankfully there are a few programs in place but you should always research what you can do to keep items out of the landfill and instead reuse or recycle.
